MEMELEE — Privacy Policy
MEMELEE is a free platform-fighting game published by Farnsworth LLC. This policy covers the mobile app and the website at memelee.anondoge.com.
What we collect
| Data | When | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Username and password | Only if you create an online account | To sign you in. Passwords are stored only as a salted scrypt hash — we cannot read them. |
| Gameplay records — match results, rating, level, XP, battle-pass progress, and the input log of online matches | When you play online | To run ranked play and the leaderboard, and to re-verify a disputed match result by replaying it. |
| IP address | Whenever the app talks to our server | Ordinary network operation, abuse rate-limiting, and picking a nearby opponent. We derive only a coarse region (e.g. "NA", "EU") from it; we do not store your IP address as part of your profile. |
| Google Play purchase token and order ID | Only if you buy the battle pass | To confirm the purchase with Google and unlock the pass on your account, and to stop the same purchase being redeemed twice. We never receive your card or payment details — Google handles payment entirely. |
| Settings stored on your device — volume, control layout, graphics options, sign-in token | As you play | To remember your preferences. This stays on your device and is cleared when you uninstall. |
What we do not collect
- No real name, email address, phone number or date of birth
- No precise or approximate location
- No contacts, photos, files, microphone or camera access
- No advertising identifier — the app shows no ads
- No third-party analytics, crash-reporting or tracking SDKs
Online matches and your IP address
Online matches try to connect the two players directly
(peer-to-peer), because that is what makes the netcode responsive. As with any
peer-to-peer game or video call, establishing a direct connection means your IP
address is visible to the other player's device for the duration of the match.
Connection setup uses Google's public STUN service
(stun.l.google.com) to discover your public address. If a direct
connection cannot be made, the match is relayed through our own server instead
and the two players never see each other's addresses.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your data and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. Data is shared only with the services needed to run the game:
- Google Play Billing — verifies purchases you make.
- Our own servers, operated by Farnsworth LLC, which host the game and the matchmaking service.
- Google's public STUN service, used only to set up peer-to-peer connections, as described above.
- Law enforcement, if we are legally required to.
Your username, rating and match record appear on the public in-game leaderboard. That is the only information about you that other players can see.
How long we keep it
Account and gameplay records are kept while your account exists. Match input logs are kept for 90 days and then deleted. Delete your account and everything tied to it is removed, except records we must keep for tax or fraud purposes (for example, proof that a purchase was made).
Deleting your account and data
Email [email protected] from any address, with your username, and we will delete the account and its data within 30 days. You do not need an account to keep playing offline; if you never made one, we hold nothing to delete.
Children
MEMELEE is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete the information we hold about you, and to object to how we use it. Use the contact address below and we will honour any such request within 30 days.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we will update the date at the top of this page and note the change in the app's release notes.
